Holiday Outfit Inspiration

Holiday Outfit Inspiration_2.jpg

With thanksgiving so close have you decided what you're wearing or is that the furthest thing from your mind?  Honestly, I haven't even given it a thought.  Not because I already have my outfit all laid out, definitely not the case.  It's mainly because I plan on wearing a tee shirt and a pair of hubs basketball shorts all day.  As of now, I don't even have plans to leave the house.

But if I were going to dinner, whether to my parents, hubs family or a friends, this would be the #ootd.  I bought this tulle skirt to wear to a formal birthday dinner we attended back in October.  However the Mr. wanted me to wear something fitted.  Which is why I ended up wearing the fitted Asos scuba dress where I ended up getting caught au naturel (enjoy a good laugh HERE).

I was a little skeptical about ordering this skirt because of the length.  As a member of team short-legs, I'm always cautious about wearing long, voluminous pieces.  I never want to look like my clothes are wearing me.  After trying the skirt on and twirling around in it in front of the mirror.  I sashayed into the bedroom for hubs opinion and he quickly let me know that he hated the skirt.  He actually said it was ugly!

We can all see that this skirt is not in the least ugly.  Matter of factly, it's cute enough for almost any holiday party you decide to attend.  This tulle midi skirt with metallic silver underlay can be dressed up or down.  I opted to dress it down with this textured wine sweatshirt.  While I thrifted my sweatshirt, H&M has a Knot-detail Sweatshirt that would work just a well.  Playing around with a few different shoe options, I ended up with these wine colored block heeled pumps from JustFab.  The one's I have on are old, but check out these also from JF.  Or these from SheIn.  Lastly, how cute is this mini floral print crossbody bag from Aldo?  Again, the one in this look is old, but they offer another option that is equally as cute.

Now I know some people would prefer comfort over style, but you can absolutely do both.  And while this look may not be the holiday inspiration you were looking for, the ultimate goal is to be the best dressed in the room.  Lol!!!!

Do you have any upcoming holiday parties?  What are you planning on wearing?  I'd love to know, maybe for my own outfit inspo.  Let me know below in the comments.
